Watch: Jeremy Kyle gatecrashes GMB for hilarious intervention with warring hosts Piers and Susanna

Jeremy Kyle made a surprise appearance on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday to mediate a row between presenters Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid - and he brought his well-known no-nonsense attitude with him.

Jeremy stepped in when viewers tweeted their concerns for Piers and Susanna, who had appeared to have a row during the live show.

By chance, Jeremy happened to be at the same ITV studios and decided to take matters into his own hands.

Piers told GMB viewers: "We had a little tiff and a viewer called Louise was worried about Susanna and I.

"By pure chance, Jeremy Kyle is in the building and he's come to try and get to the bottom of what is going on."

He then jokingly argued: "Susanna never lets me get a word in edge ways, she's always dominating conversations, she doesn't let me get a word in, she's always overbearing, she's always taking over interviews and I've had enough.

"I'll take a lie detector test. Get me a lie detector!"

Jeremy, perched on the side of the studio stage as he often does on his own show, appeared to be Team Susanna on this particular issue, telling Piers: "That's not true, gobby, is it? I think you need to respect women a bit more, Morgan, and let Susanna speak. And that is it.

"If you ask the British public about what you just said... not a chance. Now deal with it!"

But it seems the morning talk show host's efforts were in vein, with Piers later telling fellow ITV presenter Lorraine Kelly: "I think he made things worse, as he often does. He poured fuel onto the fire.

"I may be seeking a TV marriage divorce, in which case there will be a vacancy if you're interested, Lorraine?"

But according to the GMB Twitter account, Piers and Susanna have made up. Phew!
