Watch: Leo Varadkar joins busker for Cranberries singalong

If politics doesn't work out, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar could perhaps pursue a career in busking - or maybe not.

During a canvass in Limerick, he joined in a rousing rendition of hit song 'Zombie' by The Cranberries.

The sing-along with Offaly musician James McKelvey came after someone in the crowd encouraged Mr Varadkar to "give us a few bars".

In fairness to the reputedly shy Taoiseach, he joined in, helped out by other Fine Gael candidates on the trail.

Mr Varadkar was canvassing in Limerick for a 'Yes' vote in an upcoming plebiscite on directly elected mayors.
