A Belfast man stole the show at Michael Buble's concert in the city on Sunday night.

As Buble kicked off the first of his two nights at the SSE Arena, he invited someone in the audience who wanted to have their moment to join him.

Conor Malone (25) and the Canadian crooner performed a powerful duet to Me and Mrs Jones, blowing the crowd away.

"It was unbelievable. When he said he wanted someone to sing with him, my mate was pointing at me but I never expected him to come over," said Conor, speaking to Belfast Live.

"I was totally starstruck. I still am now, thinking back on it."

Despite his impressive performance, the Ligonel man doesn't sing professionally and, like most of us, describes himself as "just a shower singer".

"Even after the show when I was walking out people I didn't even know were coming up to me and saying, 'Well done Conor', and even when we went to Kelly's Cellars after people were congratulating me too. It was mad," said the retail supervisor.

His talent was also lauded on Twitter, with one fan writing: "Well done to Conor who got pulled out of audience to sing - what a voice!"

Another added: "@MichaelBuble think Conor needs to join the tour!! Unreal night!!"

Buble's first Belfast gig of the tour was certainly memorable for one Portadown couple who got engaged in front of the sold-out crowd.

Freddie Neil (24) got down on one knee and popped the question to girlfriend Sasha Armstrong (25) Haven’t Met You Yet.

The couple are childhood sweethearts who they met in primary school and have been together for 8 years.
