Watch: Omagh man breaks balloon record blindfolded in TV first on Britain's Got Talent

Despite it being his first time on stage, a Northern Ireland man smashed a world record balloon modelling record - and all while blindfolded.

Ryan Tracey (35) from Omagh appeared on the Saturday night talent show Britain's Got Talent vowing to make five balloon models in under 63.6 seconds, impress the judges and make it through to the next round. And if that wasn't enough to be getting on with, he was determined to do it all blindfolded.

As the local government worker flew through his challenge, the judges were sure the record was beyond him.

Tension built as the Guinness World Record judge inspected Ryan's efforts. She then confirmed he had broken the record by almost two seconds getting him the judges' approval and through to the next round.

“It was amazing,” said Simon Cowell. “I’m going to remember I was here on the day you did it.”
