Watch: St Patrick's Junior Choir await Britain's Got Talent news

The children from St Patrick's Junior Choir have been crossing their fingers and practising hard as they await news on whether they will be going forward to the live Britain's Got Talent semi-finals.

The choir - from Drumgreenagh, Co Down - wowed the BGT panel during their original audition when they performed a rendition of Keane's Somewhere Only We Know.

Principal Sorcha Lyness said: "We are a small rural primary school of just 80 pupils, we are just like any other primary school - we teach a range of subjects, the children come from a range of backgrounds.

"But we have something very special that makes us a little bit different..."

Choir director and P4/5 teacher, Mrs McCaughey, added: "We've had a choir in St Patrick's for as long as I have been here and that's nearly 27 years, but there's something really, really special about this little group of children.

"They sing beautifully together, they harmonise, they work really hard and they are so enthusiastic.

"They are full of energy and they get so involved in the practices and in the lyrics that they are singing."

If they make it through to the live shows, the group of eight to 12 year olds will perform for Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams in London.
