Veteran weathermen Michael Fish and Bill Giles are breezing back on to television screens for a new four-part series.
The Great British Weather will be presented by comic Alexander Armstrong, Chris Hollins and Carol Kirkwood and will examine the nation's obsession with the weather.
Viewers will see Chris investigate how the Gulf Stream attracts sharks to the waters off Cornwall while Carol gets her head in the clouds on a paraglider.
There will also be appearances by former BBC weather presenter John Kettley and Tomasz Schafernaker.
BBC1 commissioning editor Alison Kirkham said: "I am really excited by The Great British Weather presenting team. The aspiration for all features programmes is to educate whilst entertaining and I feel confident this line up can do just that, tapping into the great British obsession with weather whilst delivering science, history and social history content in an engaging way."
