Wee buns as Lucy wins TV acting role

By Rebecca Black

It's our former Miss Northern Ireland as you have never seen her before.

Lucy Evangelista has landed her first television role, starring alongside Liz Hurley in a feisty drama to be screened next year.

The role involves her kissing girls, threesomes and partying.

The Royals is about a fictional British royal family and is set in modern London. It is informed by the regal opulence of the monarchy and framed by Shakespeare's Hamlet.

The main character is Prince Liam (William Moseley), who is thrust into the spotlight after his older brother Prince Robert dies in a military training accident. Liam is in love with American Ophelia (Haley Lu Richardson), who helps him cope with the loss of his brother and his new position as heir.

But her secret romance with Liam brings her into conflict with the Queen (Liz Hurley).

Lucy's character Stella is expected to appear in at least one episode.

The Portglenone woman was Miss NI in 2005 and went on to win Miss UK.

She has modelled professionally around the world and has been the face of scores of brands.

Some of her recent ad campaigns were for West Coast Cooler and the Post Office.

Lucy is married to ex-Ulster Rugby player Matt McCullough and the couple live in London with their young daughter Leila Grace.

E!'s The Royals will be screened next year.
