Will Smith's Brummie breakfast

Will Smith has given the thumbs-up to a Birmingham restaurant after enjoying an eggs-citing breakfast.

The Hollywood star ordered an omelette and American pancakes from Brindleyplace eaterie Bank with his wife Jada and daughter Willow, following the 10-year-old's performances as a support act for Justin Bieber's shows at the National Indoor Arena.

Will was so pleased with the food that he sent a letter to the restaurant on the family's headed paper, saying: "The only thing better than the food was...okay, nothing was better than the food. For your great staff and your great service, we thank you!", the Birmingham Mail reported.

A Bank spokeswoman told the newspaper that Will had given precise orders for his omelette, wanting it to be made up of 12 egg whites with three yolks and peppers and onions. He also ordered American pancakes with scrambled egg whites and fruit, along with a dish of smoked salmon and toast.

Part-time waitress and law student Sophia Khanna helped to take the order to the Hyatt Regency hotel, where the Smiths stayed.

She told the newspaper: "We had a call asking for a special order, but had no idea who it was for. I recognised Will instantly and was quite star-struck as I am a fan. He said hello and thanked us for bringing it over. It was quite brief and a shock."

Willow will be travelling to Liverpool, Newcastle, London, Manchester, Sheffield and Nottingham for the rest of Justin's UK tour.
