Claudia Winkleman has said she loves film so much, she turned down her husband's offer of a swanky restaurant for their first date and insisted on a cinema trip.
But the 38-year-old TV presenter - who is about to take over presenting Film 2010 for the BBC after Jonathan Ross' departure - was so infatuated with film producer Kris Thykier, she spent all her time gazing at him, not the film.
Claudia revealed: "It's my favourite thing to do - first date with my husband, he said 'what do you want to do? Do you want me to book a table?' And I was like 'uh, no', I just always want to go to the cinema."
She went on: "We saw Armageddon, I loved it, but I was so excited about the thought I might get to kiss this person that I was just looking at him, looking at his neck, while the world ended, and there was Aerosmith, and I wanted to marry him."
She and Kris have been married for ten years and have two children.
Claudia will host the revamped film review show live, like she does with Strictly: It Takes Two.
She said: "I think it's more - and I hate this word - but it's more honest. We won't be so measured and careful, so if I say, 'That film's rubbish', nobody's going to say, 'Halt! Can you go again and say there might be something in it for somebody?'"
