X Factor singer credits grandmother
The X Factor is a family affair this weekend when one young hopeful brings her grandmother with her to the audition.
Jade Richards, 21, from Buckhaven in Fife, stuns the judges with her performance of Adele's Someone Like You and credits her grandmother as her inspiration.
She said: "Singing runs in my family and my gran was a singer, she worked in working men's clubs, but she had to work really hard for her money and it wasn't obviously that much. She's influenced the kind of music that I like to sing and she's such an inspirational person."
Things do not go quite so well for another of the contestants - 27-year-old Michael from north London.
His version of former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell's Look At Me falls flat and so does he - ending up lying on the stage after the judges vote.
He ends up in a row with the audience, telling them: "I love the way you guys turn on me straight away. So two-faced, it's unreal.
"One minute you cheer me and then you boo me. So shallow, sentimental and judgmental."
