Zara Holland denies Loose Women 'altercation' with new Miss Great Britain

Former beauty queen Zara Holland has denied she was removed from the Loose Women green room after an "altercation" with new Miss Great Britain Deone Robertson.

Holland, who lost her crown after having sex on ITV2 reality show Love Island, came face-to-face for the first time with the runner-up who took her title in a tense interview on the ITV show.

A newspaper report claimed that backstage the model, from North Ferriby, East Yorkshire, had to be "held back" by her management after a row with Robertson and was "escorted" from the studio.

Holland vehemently denied the accusation, writing on Twitter: "I was not aggressive or escorted off the premises from ITV ... Never heard such lies in all my life! Ask anyone at ITV!"

The 20-year-old added: "Anyway, moving onwards, thank you for all your amazing comments on support."

A spokeswoman from ITV's Loose Women said: "Zara was not removed or asked to leave the Loose Women studios today.

"She left of her own accord following her appearance on the show and with her mum. "

Holland discovered she had lost her crown during her time on Love Island after she was shown getting intimate with scaffolder Alex Bowen.

She initially chose to remain on the show but left days later when her mother became ill.

On Loose Women, she was asked if Robertson "deserved" the title and replied: "No, because in my opinion, if it was the other way around and I was in the same situation, I'd probably say I stand up for women."
