Sharon Horgan pays tribute to Carrie Fisher following posthumous Emmy nod
Irish comedian and actress Sharon Horgan has paid tribute to Carrie Fisher who was posthumously nominated for an Emmy Award on Thursday.
Fisher was included in the Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series category for her role as Mia in Horgan's hit series Catastrophe.
Following the announcement, Horgan tweeted: "Very happy and sad and proud and messed up and delighted about our friend Carrie Fisher's nomination."
In Catastrophe, Horgan starred alongside Fisher as an Irish schoolteacher in London who falls pregnant following a one night stand.
US comedian Rob Delaney plays her love interest and Fisher's son in the series.
Fisher suffered a major heart attack during a transatlantic flight in December and died in hospital a few days later. She was 60 years old.
