Staunton and Rea to feature in new television drama
Imelda Staunton, Francesca Annis and Russell Tovey will star in a new family drama for ITV.
Flesh And Blood will explore family dynamics and modern relationships as they spiral towards tragedy and possible crime, the broadcaster said.
It will tell the story of adult siblings, played by Tovey, Claudie Blakley and Lydia Leonard, who are thrown into disarray when their recently widowed mother (Annis) falls for a new man, Mark, played by Stephen Rea, threatening their inheritance.
Staunton stars as neighbour, Mary, who appears unhealthily attached to their mother.
It will be directed by Louise Hooper and is penned by The Long Song's Sarah Williams.
