The Ulster Orchestra kicks off the new year with a glittering tribute to Vienna and Strauss.

Featuring a stunning array of whirling waltzes and sweeping melodies, Roderick Dunk directs the orchestra as accompaniment to violin duo Vladimir and Anton.

Ian Wilson in concert

Crescent Arts Centre, Belfast, Tomorrow, 7.30pm

Belfast-born composer Ian Wilson returns to his home turf as a solo performer with two new works.

Massive Perturber for solo piano takes its name from a possible large object in the icy Kuiper Belt beyond the dwarf planet Pluto, which got him thinking about a possible musical corollary.

The other work Ian will perform is called TRACE which is a new fixed-media and improvisation work combining a specially-created soundtrack with live performance.
