Curtain call for Lyric Theatre’s £18m facelift
The countdown is on for the opening of the stunning new-look Lyric Theatre.
Following a £18.1m refurbishment, the Lyric is to open on May 3 with The Crucible by Arthur Miller.
The 1953 play will be one of the largest shows the Lyric has ever produced and marks the welcome return of the Belfast theatre to its Ridgeway Street home.
Co Armagh-born Conall Morrison will direct the opening production and Patrick O’Kane, a renowned stage actor from Belfast, will play the leading male role of John Proctor.
He said: “I feel privileged to be a part of this new chapter in Northern Irish Theatre.”
