Prestigious exhibition in France for Northern Ireland artist Paul Yates
A Northern Ireland artist is holding his latest solo exhibition in one of the world's most prestigious galleries in the south of France.
Paul Yates' exhibition, Storyboard, is a series of nine painted collage-assemblages portraying scenes from an imagined film in homage to the town of Saint-Paul de Vence.
The pieces will be going on display at the Casa d'Amor Design Gallery.
The Casa d'Amor Design Gallery is home to permanent exhibitions by Matisse, Picasso and Andy Warhol among other globally-renowned artists. Over the last five years, Yates has made numerous art pilgrimages to Saint-Paul, where he says he senses the ghosts of artists drawn there before him.
The artworks were produced at Yates' Co Antrim studio, under the patronage of Lord and Lady Glentoran.
