Visual Art 28/1/11
Adolf, Island Arts Centre, Lisburn, Friday, February 4, 8pm
What made Adolf Hitler so compulsive? How could so many follow him to destruction, desolation and genocide? And could there ever be another leader with such power to persuade?
Created from the words of Mein Kampf and Table Talk, actor/writer Pip Utton’s play delivers an anatomy of fascism, its ideological justifications and its festering utopias.
He takes his audience on a journey into darkness, gently coaxing an understanding of the mindset of a nation that could allow a man such as Hitler to take control.
