The technical event production specialist Sparq, formerly Saville AV, is sponsoring the category of Best Use of Digital/Social Media in the Belfast Telegraph Business Awards in partnership with Ulster Bank.

Sparq is going from strength to strength after a string of successes, which has included huge investment in its national kit resource, a new fleet of vehicles and further senior appointments.

The Belfast-based event specialist underwent the brand transformation last September, after establishing itself as a familiar face in the live event industry for more than 40 years.

However, with live events being one of the most progressive industries out there, Saville Group's board recognised it was time for a change in the way the specialist presented itself and how it communicated with the market. The rebrand was months in the making and wasn't just about a new name, logo and brand identity - it was about representing a new service proposition which focuses on a 360 technical production offering.

Sparq's 360 service proposition still includes technical production, digital and kit hire but with the addition of supporting the event organiser with further production elements of the event journey. These additional services include creative concepting and delegate registration and management platforms, right through to audience engagement solutions, content creation, video, webcasting and technology to measure the overall success of the event.

As an event production specialist, technical resource is hugely important which is why the company has invested a whopping £2m to acquire the latest technology.

Sparq has purchased more lighting, sound and vision including 4K screens, which will all help to ensure it can continue to deliver extraordinary live events.

Sparq is also moving towards a more environmentally friendly working practice with its new fleet of vehicles. Their recent investment in Ford Transits, Ford Transit Customs and Renault Masters, have all been fitted with specialist tracking and eco systems to help maximise productivity, improve fuel consumption and reduce its carbon footprint.

The Sparq senior management team has also recently been strengthened with the appointment of John Moore as head of national operations. John has been brought on board to spearhead Sparq's growth strategy and oversee the operational direction of the brand, as it continues to develop its 360 technical event production offering.

Sparq supports a range of live events across Northern Ireland, and will be partnering with the Belfast Telegraph Business Awards once again this year.

After supporting the event for 13 years, Sparq will be providing full technical production for the event tomorrow, alongside sponsoring the Best Use of Digital/ Social Media category.

The finalists are Balloo Hire Service, Groundswell for its Neurovalens campaign, Mash Direct, Henderson Group for Henderson Wholesale and Menarys.
