Belfast Academy of Marketing is a proud sponsor of the Excellence in Marketing award at the Belfast Telegraph Business Awards 2021, a category that celebrates the commitment and contributions of Northern Ireland's top marketeers.

The importance of the marketing function within business has been demonstrated over the past year which has seen huge transformations across multiple industries.

Widespread closures, changing consumer habits and the implications of Brexit have resulted in the need for major change and adaptations in order to keep afloat.

Many marketing and communications teams have been forced to completely change strategies to keep customers informed and engaged throughout the multiple different lockdowns, with many also having to adapt to different product offerings in line with local restrictions and changing consumer needs.

Dealing with this and also adapting to remote working and virtual meetings with colleagues has been a major challenge, not to mention many organisations also facing major cutbacks and restructuring.

This makes now the perfect time to celebrate the work of local marketing teams across Northern Ireland.

With the rapid transformation in the business landscape and multiple new challenges being faced, this last year has also shown the importance of continued learning and training in marketing and communications.

Lockdown has provided a lot more idle time to reflect on our lives and our careers and countless people have dedicated more time to upskilling and keeping informed on the latest trends and practices within their industries.

For nearly 10 years, Belfast Academy of Marketing has helped marketeers in Northern Ireland and beyond to excel in their career through learning and training developed in partnership with marketing experts and leading practitioners.

Thankfully, this has not changed over the past year and by adapting to virtual learning, Belfast Academy of Marketing has continued delivering courses and training throughout the pandemic.

Despite operating under different circumstances with the restrictions on face to face learning, Belfast Academy of Marketing has helped encourage and nurture excellence in marketing through delivering CIM qualifications as well as bespoke marketing workshops and training.

All tutors and facilitators are professionally qualified CIM members and chartered marketeers, and with all programmes and training being delivered by practitioners not academics, students are guaranteed to learn how to apply strategies and tactics in a way that gets results.

This aligns perfectly with the Excellence in Marketing award category that will celebrate amazing marketing campaigns across Northern Ireland over the past year and the results they achieved.
