Barrett Group backs Belfast Telegraph Best Property Marketing Award
Belfast-based Barrett Group has invested in new technology and designs which are transforming the face of modern estate agents.
The company, which is sponsoring the Best Property Marketing of the Year category in the Belfast Telegraph Property Awards for the second year running, prides itself on always being one step ahead.
Set up in 1989 by Brian Barrett and with a team of 23, the firm works with over 180 agents across Northern Ireland.
Its cutting edge and all-encompassing provision includes everything from an easy-to-use online service for ordering For Sale boards to providing the latest LED shop window displays, company car branding as well as entire shop fit-outs.
Brian has just completed the first phase of a £60,000 investment in a new 2000 sq ft showroom at the firm's Crumlin Road premises.
The showroom has been designed to perfectly showcase the quality and breadth of the company's work in a way not seen before.
He explained: "We can take a shop from a shell and do everything from the plumbing and electrics to the IT, signage, shop front and glass displays. We do it all.
"With our new showroom we are trying to create an experience.
"It has been designed to look like a street with different types of shop fronts and pods which are the retail units fitted out by our team.
"Inside the units we have used specialist graphics on wallpaper to create the different looks and each pod showcases everything we can do which is all in-house.
"We hope people will come in and see the breadth of what we can do. Those who have can't believe what is possible."
Phase two of the transformation is currently under way and will include the opening of a new private customer consultation room.
Internal glass walls have been the latest of the firm's services, which Brian has seen a huge rise in demand for in the past year.
He said: "People didn't realise we did them until we opened our new showroom and now glass offices have been really big this year.
"They can be used to replace stud walls to open up an office or installed to provide extra privacy while keeping the office bright.
"We can put frosting and the company logo on the glass."
Another new addition to the range which has proved popular this year is a new architectural vinyl which can be used to cover doors, furniture or walls to create any look the customer desires.
Brian added: "We recently did an office block where we covered 60 white internal doors in a brushed stainless steel effect wrap and the result was amazing.
"The potential is endless and this product is one which can save money by allowing you to update rather than fork out a lot of money on buying new."
The company is further investing in creating an even better user-friendly website.
Brian added: "We are constantly looking at new technology and new ways we can improve what we have to offer to keep on top of the game."
