Northern Ireland Healthcare sector’s finest were out in force at the18th Northern Ireland Healthcare Awards. Now in its 18th year, the annual event is dedicated to celebrating those whose exceptional expertise and contribution to their profession have transformed the provision of healthcare for the better. Pamela Ballantine, took on presenting duties, guiding the proceedings and entertaining the 300-strong crowd who gathered in Belfast within the elegant setting of the Europa Hotel.

Belfast drinks industry enjoys a cask-making lesson from the Jameson Barrel Man 

Dillon Bass, owners of the Jameson brand in Northern Ireland, welcomed fifth generation Master Cooper, Ger Buckley to Belfast's Dirty Onion bar on Wednesday 10 February, as part of a drinks industry engagement and training programme. Providing a potted history of his personal experience as a Jameson Barrel Man for 40 years, Ger gave a valuable insight into the unique craftsmanship at the heart of the Jameson Irish Whiskey story, alongside an entertaining barrel-making and charring demonstration and a guided tasting of Jameson Black Barrel and Jameson Caskmates.

Heineken’s exclusive It’s Your Call event took place at 21 Social. Invited guests enjoyed match insight from Heineken Ambassador and rugby legend Stephen Ferris as well as entertainment from Cool FM’s Pete Snodden and Paulo Ross. Kristian Ross jumped for joy after winning tickets to both Rugby World Cup semi-finals at the event. He battled it out against seven other finalists to win the grand prize to both semi finals including flights and accommodation.
