Ballymoney Museum event is telling tales out of school

An exhibition celebrating the history of Ballymoney Model Controlled Primary School down three centuries is being held in the town's museum.

The Co Antrim seat of learning underwent four name changes and one relocation in that time.

On show in the exhibition is a girls' register from 1856, a pupil's exercise book from 1916 and an old classroom chalkboard from 1955.

Also on display are vintage photographs and trophies, some of them on loan from former pupils.

Opening times are: Monday to Thursday, 9am-5pm; Friday, 9am-4.30pm, and Saturday, 9am-5pm.

The exhibition runs until Saturday, October 28.
