Belfast City Council is launching a series of new initiatives to celebrate the city's literary heritage.
Tourism chiefs hope to establish a niche market by celebrating the city's links with famous writers.
They will be announced at the Belfast Book Festival 211 which runs from June 13-19.
Alderman Christopher Stalford, chairman of the council's development committee, said: "The UK currently features as number one in TripAdvisor's list of the top ten literary destinations in the world, and literary tourism contributes £2.6bn a year to the British economy."
