It's an unusual venue for two lunchtime concerts. The Ulster Scots Centre in the old Corn Exchange Building has thrown open its doors to Kate Guelke's Spark Opera for the presentation of La Donna Abbandonata - songs of sadness and madness.
Spark Opera is welcoming internationally renowned Irish-American soprano Marielle Murphy for her Belfast debut as part of the current Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival.
Tickets cost £10, available at door or visit kateguelke.com.
Involute, Crescent Arts Centre
The Hard Rain Soloist Ensemble will focus on pieces for the full ensemble - although the cello work Strum, Strum and be Hang'd from Belfast composer David Byers and Save the Whale both have additional 'tape' elements.
John Buckley's 2 Fantasias for Alto flute and the Irish premiere of Piers Hellawell's Let's Dance complete the solo works.
Tickets cost £10/£5, available from box office (tel: 9024 2338) or visit crescentarts.org.
