Belfast Fashion Spy: 'Christina Hendricks has wonderful style, but I'm not keen on Miley Cyrus's look'

Kerry McKittrick checks out the style in Belfast city centre

Ashleigh Stewart (26), tour guide, Carrickfergus

Wore what? Mac, £5, Action Cancer charity shop; dress, £12, New Look; shoes, £19, Primark; bag, present.

Why? My style is quite eclectic and I’m not afraid of colour. I like to be a little different. I really don’t like it when people wear clothes that don’t suit them — they’re not doing themselves any favours.

Who? I like Christina Hendricks because she has a wonderful style that suits her shape. I’m really not keen on Miley Cyrus’s look, though.

Monthly spend £40

Eimear McCloskey (19), radiotherapist, Maghera

Wore what? Coat, £20, top, £6, boots, £15, all from Primark; skirt, £55, Topshop; bag, present, Oasis.

Why? I’m quite girly — I like wearing skirts and heels. I tend to wear one statement piece and build everything around it. I don’t like maxi skirts — they don’t look good on me as I’m so short.

Who? I like Kendall Jenner’s look. She’s nice and relaxed and goes for statement pieces too. I’m not keen on Kelly Osbourne, she wears too many styles at once.

Monthly spend £100

Leigh Mills (25), administration officer, Dundonald

Wore what? Jacket, £45, and top, £20, both from River Island; leggings, £40, Topshop; shoes, £45, Converse; bag, £275, Michael Kors.

Why? My style is casual but dressy, although I don’t like overly bright or luminous colours — they just look tacky.

Who? Cheryl Cole always looks great and well put together. Lady Gaga’s style is a bit too out there for me.

Monthly spend £250-300

Nicole Lyons (25), student midwife, Glengormley

Wore what? Jacket, £50, River Island; dress, £12, Primark; scarf, £12, and shoes, £15, both from New Look; bag, £75, Longchamps.

Why? I like a bit of a vintage look, such as tea dresses. I’m not keen on being too casual, though, so I’d never wear a tracksuit.

Who? Millie McIntosh from Made in Chelsea is certainly my style guru. I don’t like Katy Perry’s look — she’s far too out there.

Monthly spend £150

Anna-Rose Smyth (20), student, Belfast

Wore what? Coat, £30, Topshop; top, £25, trousers, £20 both from Miss Selfridge; shoes, £4, Primark; bag, £45, River Island.

Why? My style usually includes bright colours and I often go for things that other people wouldn't wear. I don't like hoodies or clothes that are too slouchy — I like girls to dress like girls.

Who? I quite like Agyness Deane's style as she's |not afraid to wear bright colours. I don't think Kim |Kardashian dresses right for her shape.

Monthly spend £100
