Belfast Fashion Spy: Julia Roberts has a smart, feminine look


Our reporter Rachel Dean checks out the style in Victoria Square, Belfast and finds plenty of trendy people out and about.

Terri Murphy (46), solicitor, Belfast

Why? I would say my look is very traditional and ladylike. I do put effort into my outfits, I love getting dressed up.

Who? Julia Roberts has a smart, feminine look that really suits her.

Why?  I would say my style is simple, elegant and classy.

Who?  Singer CL (Lee Chae-rin) has a way with fashion. Her style is out there but it works so well for her.

Why? My look is very classical. I usually match my style to whatever season it is.

Who?  I really admire Kate Middleton’s fashion sense because it’s so traditional but she is still able to keep it youthful and regal.

Why?  I get inspiration for my style from different eras of fashion — I’ll pick ideas from the Seventies, Eighties or Nineties and create my own individual look. I love quirky pieces and vintage fashion.

Who?  I love Chloe Sevigny’s style because she doesn’t follow trends and just wears what she feels like. Her style isn’t restricted like other celebrities.

Why? My style is a mixture between high street and designer fashion. I love vibrant, shiny statement pieces.

Who?  I love how Victoria Beckham makes different shapes with her outfits. I especially love her wide trousers look.

Samantha Hunter (36), retail manager, Antrim

Why?  I would say my style is very girly with a little edge. I always wear colourful outfits, I’d hate to look dull.

Who? Holly Willoughby’s style is the epitome of classy, feminine fashion. I love that she can be quite quirky, too.

Why? My style could be described as rock chick. I mostly wear black but in the summer I wear lighter, more neutral colours.

Who? Kate Moss has great style. It’s simple but expensive — she’s so classy.

Why?  I like summery outfits that are bright and flowery. I’m very feminine in the way I dress.

Who? Blake Lively knows how to dress according to the season. I love her spring/summer outfits because they are vibrant and fun.
