Belfast Fashion Week showpiece still dazzling 25 years on
Belfast Fashion Week hit the catwalk for the 25th year last night with a glittering opening show at St Anne's Cathedral.
Local designers and boutiques had their latest styles on display at the start of a four-day festival of runway shows and fringe events across the city.
Wowing fashion lovers were Blush Boutique, Grainne Maher, Jourdan and Nor Lisa, as well as eye-catching ensembles from designers Anthea McNeill and Ruedi Maguire.
There was a nod towards the 80s and 90s as fashion got nostalgic with dramatic silhouettes and nipped waistlines.
Fashion Week director Cathy Martin called it the perfect chance to champion the best design talent in Northern Ireland.
"I am sure everyone will agree that there was some incredible creative talent on the catwalk - it is an honour that they choose our platform to showcase their collections," she said.
