Belfast Fashionweek comes to an end with tribute to catwalk queen Nuala's 30 year reign

By Nevin Farrell

Nuala Meenehan has picked up the Model of the Moment award as Belfast Fashion Week drew to a close last night.

The 50-year-old east Belfast woman has been strutting the catwalk for more than three decades and shows no sign of stopping.

At the weekend, Nuala played a lead role in the Fifty Over Fifty show.

She models part-time with Cathy Martin's agency, CMPR, and - with the same 35/25/26 measurements she had at 20 - stole the show again.

The 21st West Coast Cooler Fashion Week closed in sumptuous style with its renowned Style Sunday event, as models showed off the latest Spring/Summer looks from Hillsborough retailer Candy Plum.

Belfast's top fashionistas also enjoyed a four course luncheon in Deanes at Queens in aid of Action Cancer.

Accompanying the salon-style fashion show were mini masterclasses and beauty tutorials from Oonagh Boman at Oonagh Boman School of Make Up, and Brenda Shankey from Jason Shankey Salons, ensuring guests stay bang-on-trend for the season ahead.
