Bride-to-be Meghan Markle turns heads with daring look
Meghan Markle took full advantage of the warm weather in London as she made an appearance with Prince Harry in an ivory pinstripe dress and towering, double-strap stilettos.
The pair, who marry on May 19, were at the Commonwealth Youth Forum to meet young leaders as part of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
Until now, Ms Markle's public appearances have been in very classic outfits, with sleek tailoring and Kate Middleton-inspired simplicity, so this was a much bolder look.
The square neckline of her belted midi dress was very 1920s, while the double-breasted buttons and fine pinstripe detailing was apparently influenced by "1980s corporate culture".
The asymmetric style and slim straps were unusually daring for a royal appearance. She teamed the dress with sky-high suede stilettos and nodded to the military trend with a double-breasted blazer draped over her shoulders.
Ms Markle completed the look with a Oroton bag, far from the Mulberry bags and varieties of clutch normally seen sported by the Duchess of Cambridge.
