Co Down fashionista Sara Hall for top New York event

By Claire O'Boyle

Co Down's Sara Hall has been chosen as one of 10 designers to represent Ireland in a major New York fashion event.

Sara, who launched her luxury label Sands & Hall in 2015, will present her work at Wearing Irish NYC 2018 in May.

She told her 39,000 Facebook followers that she will fly with nine others to the Big Apple to spend 48 hours "displaying our creations, meeting potential customers, and forging connections to accelerate growth.

"Plus, I will get to meet with panellists and guests, eager to discover Irish designers".

"Trying to juggle being a mum to two incredible girls, a wife, a homemaker, friend, daughter, sister and an owner of a fashion business - well let's just say the last two years have been a juggling act trying to make it all work."

Sara, originally from Mayobridge, specialises in high-end tweed capes.

The showcase and event will run from May 15 to 17 at Bank of Ireland Startlab, near the famous Grand Central Terminal.
