Dita Von Teese would never invest in a “fake” designer item.
The 38-year-old burlesque performer is famed for her retro aesthetic, and always appears in public with immaculate hair and make-up, sporting a variety of traditional 1940s-style garb.
The raven-haired beauty, who advocates classic fashion choices, insists she’d never purchase a fake designer item, because labels aren’t that important to her.
“There are lots of things I cannot afford either, but I wouldn't buy a fake. #IDon'tHaveABirkinBag (sic),” she wrote on her Twitter page.
Dita also responded to the recent news that luxury shoe designer Christian Louboutin has lost his exclusive right to sell his signature red sole.
The stunning star says the shoe creator worked hard to produce such iconic footwear, which will now be open to copies.
“Terrible that Louboutin must fight for something he created & popularised. Shame on ANY brand who copies his signature. #BOYCOTTFAKES,” she wrote.
“Can't really sway my opinion. No one would be lusting after Louboutin Red soles if it weren't for him having the idea to do it 20+ yrs ago (sic.)”
