Fashion Spy: Beyonce has a lovely style, but Lady Gaga's style is too out there for me

Our reporter Kerry McKittrick checks out all the style in Belfast city centre.

Tara Greene (18): Student, Lurgan

Wore what? Top, £9, Topshop; skirt, £20, Miss Selfridge; boots, £65, River Island; bag, £40, TK Maxx.

Why? My style changes a lot - I can be really girly and other times I go for a leather jacket and jeans. I never wear playsuits or jumpsuits, as I'm not tall enough for them.

Who? I love Olivia Palermo as she mixes high street and designer labels. Beyonce is great but I don't like her style, it's a little tasteless.

Lynne McNeill (26): Retail manager, Belfast

Wore what? Jacket, £25, jeans, £20, H&M; top, £25, M&S; shoes, £13, New Look; bag, £40, TK Maxx.

Why? I love bright colours teamed with classic tailoring, but I don't go for big, bold, crazy prints.

Who? I like Holly Willoughby because she dresses for her shape and knows how to pull things off. I'm not a fan of Miley Cyrus - she could be a better role model in terms of style.

Julie-Ann Cummings (24): Bank clerk, Belfast

Wore what? Jacket, £15, Quiz; top, £8, jeans, £10, Primark; bag, £14, Spanish market; sandals, £18, River Island.

Why? I like to be a little different but casual at the same time. I don't like pink, though - I'm not a girly-girl.

Who? I like that Rihanna has a different style. I don't like anything gothic, like Avril Lavigne's style.

Ashley Weir (26): Care assistant, Belfast

Wore what? Jacket, £22, shoes, £10, bag, £10, Primark; top, £12, jeans, £18, New Look.

Why? I like to be co-ordinated but with a little flash of colour. I never wear skirts during the week - jeans are more comfortable.

Who? Beyonce has a lovely feminine style, but Lady Gaga's style is a little bit too out there for me.

Hannah O’Connor (21): Sales assistant, Belfast

Wore what? Jacket, £60, T-shirt, £16, jeans, £45, Topshop; shoes, £45, Schuh; bag, £40, River Island.

Why? My style is casual - I don't put much effort into it. I don't shop in Next though, their clothes are too formal for me so I just shop elsewhere.

Who? I love what Kim Kardashian wears but I don't have the curves for it. Cheryl Fernandez-Versini's style is too overdone.
