Fashion Spy: 'Katy Perry has great style - it's quirky and fun'

Our reporter Rachel Dean checks out the style at Victoria Square and finds plenty of trendy people out and about.

Claire Kearney (18), student, Ballymena

Wore what? Top, £10, scarf, £5, both Primark; short dungarees, £38, Topshop; cardigan, £35, River Island; shoes, £11, Sports Direct.

Why? As you can tell, my style is quite casual, but I would also say that my outfits tend to be quirky and different.

Who? Katy Perry has great style - it's quirky and fun. I just love any fashion that is different and stands out amongst the crowd.

Why? I would describe my fashion sense as classy. I love wearing bright colours, especially pink and red.

Who? I love the style of Cheryl Fernandez-Versini. I aim to dress as elegantly as her if I can.

Why? Most of the time I would be quite casual but for nights out I dress up a bit more. I like my outfits to be classy.

Who? Cara Delevigne has the best style, in my opinion. She dresses so perfectly for her personality. She can dress casually and still look great.

Jennifer Porter (21), student,  Belfast

Why? My style usually just depends on the day and the weather, I'm not very fussy. I love the autumn/winter colours at the moment, as they are just so easy to match with other items.

Why? Julianne Hough's fashion sense is beautiful. Her outfits are always different - she suits so many different styles.

Why? My style could be described as smart casual. Without a doubt, I prefer dresses over trousers.

Who? I really like the style of Pixie Lott. It's edgy, fun and different.

Why? My style is very simple. I would maybe even describe it as classic. I love the styles and colours of this season, they are all beautiful.

Who? Taylor Swift's fashion sense is one of those you just can't fault. She is classy but fun and quirky at the same time.

Why? I would definitely say my style is quite versatile. Sometimes I will dress quite rocky, but other times I am more of a girly girl - it's always changing.

Who? I absolutely love Jennifer Lopez's fashion sense. She can wear anything and everything and still looks amazing.
