Kerry McKittrick is our favourite fashion spy, searching Belfast city high and low for the best dressed fashionistas about. Meet the five ladies that impressed with their fearless fashion and effortless style.

Rachel McNeilly (23)

Sales adviser, Ballyclare

Wore what? Jacket, £20, Ballymena boutique; top, £15, Topshop; skirt, £30, River Island; shoes, £25, New Look; bag, £10, Exhibit.

Why? My style is classic and well co-ordinated, as I prefer to look smart. I never wear trainers outside of the gym — I love heels.

Who? Kim Kardashian dresses well for her shape, but Lady Gaga is too extreme.

Monthly spend: £150.

Leanne Mulholland (31)

Civil servant, Downpatrick

Wore what? Kimono, £16, top, £15, jeans, £20, New Look; bag, £35, River Island; boots, £50, Newcastle boutique.

Why? My style is colourful and I like to follow trends, although I tend to go casual during the day. I would never wear anoraks or quilted jackets.

Who? Rita Ora has a nice casual style with bright colours, but Lily Allen is a little too over-the-top for me.

Monthly spend: £200.

Natalie Hughes (23)

Nurse, Belfast

Wore what? Jumper, £11, Primark; gilet, £10, Republic; skirt, £10, Peacocks; boots, £6, New Look; bag, £25, Clarks

Why? I’m a bargain hunter and my style is quite college prep with lots of skater dresses. I never wear bright neon colours

Who? Zooey Deschanel has a great boho style, but Rihanna is too out there for me.

Monthly spend: £100.

Maura McGurgan (35)

Sales manager, Armagh

Wore what? Scarf, £5, boots, £10, Primark; jacket, £20, H&M; top, £20,; cap, £15, Topman; jeans, £90, Diesel; bag, £50, Agnes & Cecil.

Why? I love tweed and would go for a ladylike country style. I don’t like the rock chick look, though.

Who? Victoria Beckham has great style, but I don’t like how Jordan dresses.

Monthly spend: £100.

Seanin McDaid (26)

Customer service adviser, Londonderry

Wore what? Hat, £13, Marks & Spencer;

gilet, £65, dress, £32, bag, £30, Topshop; boots, £25, Zara.

Why? My style is very relaxed with an individual twist. I would never wear sequins as I don’t like too much bling.

Who? Solange Knowles’ style has a wonderful Seventies retro flare. I don’t like anyone from TOWIE, they all appear too overdone.

Monthly spend: £400.
