Our reporter checks out the style at the Merchant Hotel Fashion Tea and finds plenty of trendy people in attendance.
Ciara McCready (21)
Accounts clerk, Ballymena
Wore what? Top, £15, trousers, £40, bag, £45, River Island; shoes, £60, Aldo.
Why? I like bright colours and I tend to dress with the seasons too, so now that it's spring I'm wearing lighter colours and white. I would never wear anything too blingy or with sequins.
Who I think Victoria Beckham has a simple but lovely style. I don't like Katie Price's outfits, as she can go over the top.
Tanya English (40)
Civil servant, Holywood
Wore what? Jacket, £200, Karen Millen; dress, £30, House of Fraser; shoes, £60, Clarks; bag, £160, Radley.
Why? Normally my style is relaxed and casual with a slightly funky edge. I never wear super high fashion, as I prefer to wear things I'm comfortable in.
Who? I like Kate Middleton's classic style but Jodie Marsh goes too far and looks horrendous.
Ashleigh Greeves(29)
Laboratory manager, Belfast
Wore what? Jacket, £75, Topshop; top, £30, New Look; leggings, £15, River Island; shoes, £20, H&M; bag, £69, Dune.
Why? I normally wear skinny jeans with fitted blazers. I never wear peplum or A-line clothes, as I'm too tall for them.
Who? Cheryl Fernandez-Versini dresses nicely with lots of colour. I'm not keen on grungy styles like Jessie J.
Ashley Dunne (30)
Teacher, Belfast
Wore what?: Jacket, £45, Rich Rags; T-shirt, £3, Dorothy Perkins; jeans, £30, Pepe; shoes, £95, Carl Sagan; bag, £20, Amazon.
Why? I prefer a style that's more individual and slightly quirky. I never wear anything I can't sit down in.
Whyo? I'm all about vintage, so I love Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe. I don't like styles like the girls from TOWIE because it's all trend for trend's sake.
Aislinn McGillian (30)
Development manager, Belfast
Wore what? Dress, £59, Joules; bag, £60, Seven, (Limavady); shoes, £30, Monsoon.
Why? I try to be casual but feminine at the same time and I don't mind being a little quirky. I don't like open-toed shoes because I don't have very nice feet. I'm not keen on anything too revealing anyway.
Who? Olivia Palermo and Taylor Swift both have a nice style. I find Rihanna a bit too bold and in your face.
