Fashion spy: Victoria Beckham’s style is simple and classic

Our reporteer Rachel Dean checks out all the style in the Victoria Centre, Belfast.

Why? I put effort into my look to keep it modern and feminine. I definitely prefer dresses over trousers.

Who? Victoria Beckham’s style is simple and classic. Her look is flawless.

Melissa Buchanan (23), intern, Holywood

Wore what? Top, £15, shoes, £15, both New Look; trousers, £25, Zara; bag, £200, Michael Kors.

Why? At the moment due to my internship I usually go for a smart/casual style. I aim for a look that suits my age as well as my job, and I love mixing pink and navy.

Who? Keira Knightley always looks gorgeous, even in casual wear. Her style is young, but smart.

Why? My look is trendy and sophisticated and I like to mix designer brands with high-street brands.

Who? Delta Goodrem works a sophisticated look really well. Her look is mature without being very revealing.

Why? In three words I would describe my look as casual, comfy and classic.

Who? Ruth Langsford has great style. She is always appropriately dressed for her figure and her age.

Caroline O’Rourke (39), nurse, Dublin

Why? I would say my style is casual but individualistic. I just like to wear what suits me.

Who? I love Jennifer Lopez for her bravery with fashion. Her style is daring and ‘out there’.

Why? I love a laid-back, comfy style and I would never buy anything that is too showy.

Who? Molly King’s style is so understated but stunning. She’s wears a lot of neutral and pastel colours — shades that I love too.

Lisa McCullagh (51), classroom assistant, Nottingham

Wore what? Top, £17, Benetton; trousers, £16, Tesco; shoes, £24, TK Maxx; bag, gift, Accessorize.

Why? I would definitely describe my style as quite casual, though I do always try to ensure that my look stays feminine.

Who? I think Amanda Holden’s style is very flattering for her shape and age. She’s very stylish.

Emily Orr (21), student, Garvagh

Why? I choose outfits that flatter my body shape — I prefer a fitted top with a flowing skirt.

Who? I love Alexa Chung’s style because it just looks so effortless. She always looks fab.
