Christmas is coming. Well, sort of. It might feel a teensy bit early to be spending your hard-earned cash on fancy Advent calendars, but the beauty world's big festive launches sell out in no time, so it's best to get organised.

Of course we'd all kill for the Jo Malone calendar, but few of us can afford the £300 price tag. So here's our pick of the best of the rest.

Lippies, eye pencils, nail varnish and brushes all come together in this glitzy box of treats. Available from Boots stores.

2017 Beauty Advent Calendar, £35, Marks & Spencer

There's even a Christmas Day treat in this uber-cute calendar from Marks & Spencer. Available from November 9, the catch is you have to spend £35 on clothing and homeware. But if you do that (and let's face it, who isn't going to spend £35 in M&S in the run-up to Christmas?), for another £35 this can be yours. Containing make-up, skincare, bath and body treats worth a total of £250, it's worth snapping up.

Okay, okay, so this one isn't so affordable, but if you are going to splash a lot of cash on a beauty calendar this year, make it this one. Packed with decent-sized minis and even a full-size Pro-Collagen Marine Cream (worth £82 on its own), if you buy Elemis products, you may as well spend a bit more on this.
