Last night, Belfast rocked to the opening night of catwalk shows at West Coast Cooler Fashionweek as some of the best boutiques in Northern Ireland showcased their collections during a breath-taking runway show.

Cathy Martin, Director of Fashionweek said: “Stylistas at last night’s extravaganza were treated to a night of glamour and flair as Natoria from Larne, The Snooty Fox from Dungannon and Diamond Dolls from Banbridge hit the runway alongside chic Belfast boutiques Jourdan, Blush and Harrison from the Lisburn Road and key pieces from designers Una Rodden and Grainne Maher.

“The quality and elegant fashions on display were a credit to the hard working boutique stores who continue their mission to bring fashion to ladies in their areas and beyond.”

Victoria Lucas, owner of Natoria in Larne said: “What a whirlwind of fashion and fun the last 24 hours have been. We were truly delighted with the professionalism of the models who moved gracefully down the catwalk wearing our designer collections, which include Bleu Blanc Rouge, Hoss Intropia and Airfield. And all this in front of a packed out and smiling audience!”

Marie Boylan from The Snooty Fox said: “It’s great to see Northern Ireland fashion supported in this way and wonderful that so many boutiques were part of it. We brought some of the best designers we stock to show on the catwalk including Karl Lagerfeld, Vivienne Westwood Anglomania and See by Chloe. Judging by the audience’s reaction, they went down quite well. I saw a few people marking off their programmes!”

The fashion odyssey continues tonight, Friday 19 October, at the Europa Fashionweek Centre with two shows – the first, an after work show at 6.30pm, will showcase the very best of city centre mall CastleCourt’s collections including Designers at Debenhams, GAP, Miss Selfridge, Warehouse, Evans & Dorothy Perkins Then at 8.30pm, some of the biggest high street brands like M&S, French Connection, Benetton, Jigsaw and Exhibit will hit the catwalk.
