Joe Jonas laughs at his old looks
Joe Jonas now understands the importance or detail and design in his clothes.
Joe Jonas finds it hilarious looking back at his old looks.
The 27-year-old found fame more than 12 years ago as part of family group Jonas Brothers, alongside siblings Kevin and Nick.
Joe has had plenty of style reinventions over the years, and now favours sharp tailoring and sleek streetwear outfits.
"I can look back on the outfits I thought were really cool and laugh," he smiled to America’s Esquire. "Now, I understand how important it is to pay attention to detail and design."
Joe scrubbed up well for the recent Met Gala, which was held on 1 May (17) and celebrated Comme des Garcons designer Rei Kawakubo.
The DNCE frontman was suited and booted in custom H&M, with the Swedish retailer’s head designer Pernilla Wohlfahrt creating a red silk suit with a black stripe, black lapels, and black silk shirt which was heavily influenced by Kawakubo’s famed label.
"It has this familiarity to it, I think. It has a nice nod to the dark, mysterious feeling you see when you see Comme,” Joe said of his look as he was interviewed at the star-studded bash. "There's a specific attention to detail when it comes to a night like this. From the way guys cuff their shirts, to where their tuxedo pants fall. It's nice to be able to see those details, understand them, and try them out yourself."
Fashion Week regular Joe wasn’t the only star who opted for red and black; Girls creator Lena Dunham was dressed in a gown that nearly matched Joe’s ensemble, with the pair standing close to each other on the red carpet for maximum impact.
