Keira Knightley has admitted becoming the face of Coco Mademoiselle was “frightening”.
The 25-year-old British actress was confirmed as the celebrity face of iconic French fashion house Chanel’s top-selling perfume Coco Mademoiselle in April 2006.
The star appeared in a stylish commercial for the fragrance directed by Joe Wright – who Keira worked with on 2007 movie Atonement - and the advert continues to air today. Looking back the beauty is immensely proud of the commercial, although she admits at the time she was nervous about taking on such a high-profile campaign.
“With the first one I think we were all a bit worried because we didn’t know if it was going to sell well and it was taking over this enormous thing. It was quite frightening!” she confessed in an interview with Stylist.
Keira has shot another commercial for the fragrance, and feels particularly enthusiastic about it. The brunette beauty has settled into her role as a Chanel ambassador now, and enjoys working with the creative team.
“We’ve just done another one and it’s brilliant... we went in with the same team we had a really lovely time,” she explained.
