Ladies' Day brings glitz and glamour to Downpatrick Racecourse
Some of Northern Ireland's most stylish racegoers brought a touch of elegance and sparkle to Ladies' Day at Downpatrick yesterday.
Ten race days are held every year at the Co Down course, and Ladies' Day is always a highlight of the Downpatrick course programme.
Fashion-conscious race fans from all over Ireland - both male and female - competed to win a range of honours.
They included Most Appropriately Dressed Lady, Most Stylish Hat & Accessories and Best Dressed Gentleman.
The first Downpatrick race meeting was originally held more than 300 years ago, in 1685, and races have been taking place on the present course for more than 200 years.
