Margot Robbie relies on hair pieces for red carpet glamour
Actress Margot Robbie typically requires three products for her off-duty beauty look.
Margot Robbie relies on hair pieces to create her glamorous updos for the red carpet.
The Australian actress is no stranger to star-studded industry events, having appeared in blockbusters such as The Legend of Tarzan and Suicide Squad this year (16).
But while Margot’s chic blonde tresses give fans serious hair envy, the 26-year-old claims that her look is all down to extensions and cleverly placed hair pieces.
“I have like three hairs left on my head,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “A hairstylist will come in and put all this fake hair in and it looks luscious and amazing… People are always like, 'How do you have such healthy hair?' I'm like, I don't. My hair is snapped off, it's s**t, it's gone, but hairstylists have suitcases full of fake hair and they make it look amazing.”
Margot adds that her hair has become damaged through continued use of dye for film parts and having hot roller sets used. She also partly blames the harsh water in the U.K., where she has been based for several years.
“It's kind of wrecked now. Living in London, the water is really harsh, and my hair got so bad as soon as I moved there. But you can't really avoid that,” she explained.
While she may need the help of hair pros, Margot has managed to master her own beauty routine. Whenever possible she prefers to do her own make-up, having learnt from some of the best in the business on movie sets.
“I feel like I'm pretty good at doing my own make-up. I've watched a lot of people do my make-up, so I've been able to gauge what looks good and what doesn't. I can do my make-up with three products and that's done,” smiled Margot.
