Nick Jonas keeps his wardrobe ‘classic’

Nick Jonas enjoys surprising people with his outfits, but likes to stick to what he knows.

Nick Jonas favours a “classic” approach to style rather than breaking fashion boundaries.

The singer and actor has become more fashion savvy in recent years, and can be spotted in everything from hooded sweaters to suits on the red carpet.

Discussing his approach to dressing, 24-year-old Nick admitted that while he likes to keep things fresh, he tends to stick to what he already knows.

“There’s a real classic approach to it,” he told WWD of his style. “I don’t like to go too far outside the box. I’m comfortable in both men’s tailoring and well-made garments, but also streetwear and mixing it up with some fun, youthful looks. I think that balance is so important and continuing to surprise people with what you’re wearing.”

The Levels musician has also dipped his toes into designing, having previously teamed up with Creative Recreation on sneakers and he would love to get involved more in the business. He still has a lot to learn but finds that by putting himself in a position which challenges him to grow, he’s able to be more creative.

One of Nick’s latest ventures is a collaboration with electronics company Altec Lansing on headphones, which he unveiled recently in New York.

“Once I got the product in my hands and actually felt it and listened to it, I saw there was real quality, which, as a musician, is the number one thing you want,” he gushed of his product. “The idea of being able to design it and bring my own element of what I think is classic style and classic aesthetic, combined with something bold and chic and sexy, it’s really fun.”
