Pregnant Natalie Portman craving pineapple and burritos

The private actress is not a fan of hitting red carpets as a mum-to-be.

Natalie Portman is craving pineapple, cucumbers and burritos as she prepares to welcome her second child with choreographer husband Benjamin Millepied.

The Black Swan star debuted her baby bump on the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival in Italy back in September (16), and ever since, all anyone wants to know is when she's due and other details about her pregnancy.

Notoriously private, the actress has been keen to keep baby talk to herself, but during a recent taping of The Ellen DeGeneres Show in the U.S. to promote her new movie Jackie, Natalie opened up, admitting hitting red carpets while pregnant is not fun.

"It does make you look forward to the day when you can just have your own body on the red carpet," the 35-year-old laughed, before chatting about her cravings.

"With (first child Aleph) it was very (different)...," she said. "I wanted cream puffs, anything dessert with cream in it, or just plain cream straight. This time it's, like, healthy - pineapple, cucumbers, burritos, which is maybe less healthy, but delicious."

The actress told the TV host she doesn't know if she's having a boy or a girl, prompting Ellen to guess she would be having a daughter.

The Jackie actress bet pizza and $1,000 (£800) that her second child wouldn't be a girl.

Meanwhile, Natalie's husband recently revealed the stars are taking tap dancing lessons as they get ready for baby number two.

He told Access Hollywood Live, "She has an advantage; she has more experience than me but I'm catching up... I'll get there."

The actress' pregnancy may be a sign she's all set to claim Oscars gold again at the Academy Awards next year (17) - Portman is a frontrunner for the Best Actress award for her portrayal of iconic former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy in Jackie. She was pregnant with Aleph throughout the 2011 awards season, which ended with an Academy Award for Black Swan.
