Preview of Belfast Fashionweek key looks

Ahead of next week’s Belfast Fashionweek, we preview key looks from some of the high street chains which will be hitting the city’s runways

What a treat awaits at West Coast Cooler Fashionweek when our favourite shops will be exhibiting key autumn/winter trends.

While our favourite event showcases the very best designer fashions and independent boutiques, it also has a strong input from the big names that we all pop into during our lunch-break on the high street.

“We go to great lengths at Fashionweek to make sure that every look our audiences see on the catwalks they can go out and buy the next day,” says event director Cathy Martin.

“And this year we’ve a super mix of participating retailers and boutiques from all over Northern Ireland who will pull out all the stops so that fashonistas get a real feast for the eyes.”

Key looks this season include jewel tones, tartan (from scarves to minis), faux fur, diamante and sequins (whether a simple clutch or entire ensemble) and boots — go for a weather-beating pair for day and animal print ones for night.

Belfast Fashionweek runs from Oct 13-16. Tickets for each night at the Europa Hotel, Belfast, cost £15 (£20 for front row). To book, tel: 028 9024 6609 or go to
