Sizzling summer clobber for a song with £7 Lidl bikinis

By Helen Carson

Value for money supermarket chain Lidl has returned to the fashion circuit with the launch of its second spring/summer collection which includes two-piece bikinis for under £7.

Lidl Northern Ireland has unveiled its latest Esmara line-up following the sell-out success of its debut range last year which included a leather-look biker jacket for £14.99.

Now savvy shoppers looking for a bargain as they plan their summer holidays will be able to snap-up key season staples, such as shirt dresses, shorts and swimsuits most of which cost £7.99 or under.

The summer collection, which has been inspired by the tropical art deco architecture of Miami, will have everything a fashionista will need as the temperature rises - and all at bargain prices.

Budget-friendly clothes to look out for include palazzo pants in pastel colours for £8.99 and matching cami tops priced at £2.99; lace-trim shorts, £3.99, and wedges for £11.99. Meanwhile, the well-priced swimwear makes a splash for less cash with bikinis in tropical colours for £3.99 (top) and £2.99 (bottoms). Other stand out pieces are a must-have maxi dress at £8.99, cut-out swimsuits for £7.99, beach dresses, £6.99 and print kaftans priced at £7.99.

And tapping into the summer vibe is a range of athletic wear called 'See You In Miami' which features vivid prints and bright colours. Choose from capri pants, £5.99, shorts, £3.99, sports bras, £4.99, camis, £2.99 and T-shirts, £3.99.
