The Duchess of Cambridge dazzles in lacy gown at Royal Variety Performance
The Duchess of Cambridge was the star of the show at the Royal Variety Performance in London last night.
Dressed in a lacy, long-sleeved Alexander McQueen gown, she met members of the cast of Mary Poppins - including veteran star Petula Clark - before the show got under way at the London Palladium.
She and Prince William watched last night's entertainment from the theatre's Royal Box.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, the Prince of Wales paid a visit to Critical Design, an Auckland-based company that manufactures a range of office and homeware products from recycled materials, on the second day of the royal visit to New Zealand.
Members of the New Zealand Armed Forces and Maori dancers heralded the arrival of Charles and Camilla at a Ceremony of Welcome held at Government House in the city.
Previously, the Prince had laid a wreath "in solemn remembrance" of those who served for New Zealand during the Second World Ward on his first engagement of the tour.
The couple will be spending eight days in New Zealand.
