Video: Fashion design meets business at Arthur Cox showcase in the Merchant

Northern Ireland corporate law firm Arthur Cox hosted an exclusive Fashion Showcase in the Merchant Hotel, Belfast - the latest in a series of events held by Arthur Cox in Dublin, London and New York, devised to support Irish designers by connecting with the business communities in each city.

Hosted by renowned stylist Cathy O’Connor, the show featured 11 of the most talented designers from throughout the island of Ireland.

For Belfast based milliner Gráinne Maher the event offered her the chance to meet local businesswomen and showcase a her new collection launched recently at London Fashion Week.

Gráinne said: “My collection was received really well at London Fashion Week so it’s great to be able to showcase it locally too.

“It’s an opportunity for local designers to meet face-to-face with existing and new customers and raise our profile within the Northern Ireland marketplace.

“This kind of backing is vital for the local fashion industry, especially in the present climate and events like this will give us a much needed boost.”
