Zoey Deutch chooses outfits which make her feel powerful
Actress Zoey Deutch will never part with her favourite black Kenzo coat.
Zoey Deutch chooses her outfits based on whether they make her feel powerful.
The actress has risen to prominence after landing roles in movies such as Richard Linklater's Everybody Wants Some!! and 2016 comedy Why Him?
But Zoey is also establishing herself as one to watch when it comes to the red carpet, and has shared that she has a very specific viewpoint when it comes to her attire.
"My style is dependent on my mood. I don't want to just feel beautiful, I want to feel powerful and ready," she told Pret-a-Reporter. "(Fashion) can make you walk differently, talk differently, hold your head differently, and that can be a real gift."
The 22-year-old has made some bold outfit choices of late, and sported a ruby-hued velvet Max Mara suit and matching bralet to the recent 2017 Women in Film party, while she wore a white Tory Burch dress and Dries van Noten shoes to the Met Gala.
In spite of her extensive wardrobe, there's one item in her wardrobe that she counts among her favourites.
"A Kenzo coat I got on sale at Opening Ceremony," she said. "It's big and black with shoulder pads and embroidered eyes all over it. I wear it when I go to something where I'm not sure I'm going to know anyone. It's a talking point."
As well as being named Face of the Future at the Women in Film event, Zoey has a full slate of film projects ahead of her. The star, who is the daughter of Back to the Future actress Lea Thompson, portrays Erica in the upcoming Flower, and has just wrapped filming on The Year of Spectacular Men, which was written by her sister Madelyn Deutch.
