Fashion spy: We hit Belfast city centre for a good snoop

By Kerry McKittrick

Our reporter checks out the style in CastleCourt shopping centre, Belfast and finds plenty of trendy people out and about.

Shannon Scott (18)

Student, Armagh

Wore what? Jumper, £7, George at Asda; skirt, £7, charity shop; headband, £12, New Look; bag, £22, Austrian market; boots, £20, Dunnes Stores.

Why? I like to alter my clothes so they're more individual, as I follow my own style. I wouldn't wear an anorak, as they're not smart enough.

Who? Kate Moss is an icon and has great style. I'm not keen on Cara Delevingne - her style is too random.

Eimear Magee (18)

Student, Ballyclare

Wore what? Shirt, £30, jeans, £42, bag, £40, Topshop; boots, £35, River Island.

Why? I like to be a bit edgy and I'm not very girly. I don't like skater skirts - they don't suit my figure, or style.

Who? Alexa Chung has a great style that's a bit different and not too girly. I don't like Pixie Lott's style; it's too girly and she wears too many sparkles.

  • Monthly spend £250

Samantha Burns (21)

Care assistant, Saintfield

Wore what? Jacket, £50, Republic; shirt, £12, Primark; jeans, £24, Next; shoes, £55, Converse.

Why? My style is casual, but I like nice accessories and a flash of colour. I don't like anything frilly, or fluffy, as it's just not my style.

Who? Kendall Jenner has a nice original style and looks great. I don't like anything tacky with too many sparkles, so I think Katie Price gets it wrong.

  • Monthly spend £200

Alana Flanagan (21)

Recruitment agent, Belfast

Wore what? Jacket, £35, leggings, £25, Miss Selfridge; shirt, £35, Topshop; boots, £25, New Look; bag, £25, River Island.

Why? I like a splash of colour and my style is girly, but comfortable. I would never wear tracksuits.

Who? Miranda Kerr has a nice style and wears shirts and leggings all the time. Kerry Catona's style is a bit chavvy for me.

  • Monthly spend £200

Enya Sullivan (18)

Waitress, Belfast

Wore what? Coat, £25, boots, £15, Primark; shirt, £12, Exhibit; jeans, £35, Next; bag, £30, River Island.

Why? My style is classic, but comfortable and I go for plain colours. I would never wear anything like leopard print, or floral patterns.

Who? Rihanna has a wonderful edge to her style, but I don't like anything too bright - like the way Nicki Minaj dresses.

  • Monthly spend £300
